"...no man is a failure who has friends." (Clarence, It's A Wonderful Life)
Lennie and I met at the beginning of my acting career and we've been friends ever since. She is a warm, creative, emotional, and talented person-- a true 'artiste' in every way. Lennie resides in the UK and has recently earned her MA from the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama in London. She's still writing those edgy, avant-garde plays and heads up missfit Productions--which a)LoStCrEaTiVe Theater Company is part of--and MAD About Talent.
Malwina, the self-proclaimed 'Queen of the Subway', is a talented young actress from Poland. She's a rising star whom I first met while casting an a)LoStCrEaTiVe play with Lennie. Malwina has acted on stage, film, and television--in fact, she recently starred in the Polish television serial 300 Minut (similar to 24). Talk about high drama! Malwina is currently living in London and continues doing her "acting thing", as well as directing.
Michelle and I have known each other since the beginning of 9th grade and have always supported each other through ups-and-downs in life. She has always been there for me. A true friend. Michelle works as a nurse in a big Seattle hospital. She's a recent newly-wed, living in the 'burbs with her hubby Allen.
Out of all my friends, I've known Manuela the longest. We first met each other peering through the fence that separates her yard and my Oma's. Needless to say we've been friends ever since... Manuela works as a carpenter outside her hometown of Ramstein, and enjoys collecting coins, soccer, and traveling.
The summer of '05, I met Nadine--a talent from Switzerland--who is also pursuing her dream of acting in the Big Apple (she recently won New York Midnight Madness Festival's best actress in a drama award). We performed together in the play Misunderstandings and have been practically inseperable ever since. Nadine resides in NYC with her overly-talented webdesigner husband and cat.
Derk has been a friend to both my hubby and me for a very, very long time. He's a brilliant, funny, and charasmatic young man who loves the Internet and working with computers. Derk also DJs. Visit his website at www.derkgates.com--the definitive guide to all things Derk.
